²⁶ You, however, are to keep My statutes and My ordinances, and do none of these abominations, neither the native-born, nor the outsider dwelling among you.

²⁷ “For all these abominations were done by the men of the land who were before you, and the land became defiled. ²⁸ If you defile it, the land will vomit you out as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
